Just asking...

to be frank, these few years have kinda been "lonely" but I'm used to it. Well, not really "lonely" because I still have a few close friends ... but I didn't really had any close friends with any of my school classmates this year.
I'm an outcast because I'm the odd one out all the time.

I live on the other side of the world from the U.S.
My thinking and beliefs are different because I'm exposed to westernization and other cultures. I've read various philosophies and many books whether is it finance or self-help books. And this made me view things very differently and most people find me eccentric because of it, particularly women. And that pretty much explains why I'm single, never actually dated, and still a virgin at the age of 20.

And no, I'm not emo-ing or sad or any negative feelings.
I'm fine with being different from them.

Anyone had such similar problems?

Wait until you start making real money. Then you don't have to care what people
think, you'll never be short of woman and people will hang on to every word you say.
Just be true to yourself and you'll never be lonely or bored.

What you describe is so normal for me that I haven't thought of it as being outcasted in years. It's just how it IS, if you know what I mean.

I'm in the US, but despite what the finance & self-help books may lead you to believe, most of the people here are "peasants" - more nicely known as the "rank and file" - who can't see their way beyond the factory floor or the grill of a McDonald's. Just thinking of running a business outright scares most of them. They want all the risk of business hidden and to just collect their paychecks even though getting a decent one requires blowing 40 hours/week of their lives.

As soon as my opinion of that whole line of thinking shows out and brings the question of "well what else are we going to do"...and I say "start your own business!!" I know I'm going to be left standing there alone within a minute. Yet I can't pretend to go along with factory-peon thinking, either.

And as for the guys (I'm a girl) who agree with me? They're the competition and vice versa. And I have a highly competitive personality. That makes them chicken to get too close. Maybe they're right! Ha ha
