Some of you might have noticed I'm new to BHW. I have two businesses a poker/gambling business and a eBay/eCommerce business.

I'm looking to meet other people here who are doing eBay for a living to exchange ideas and brainstorm. My eBay business started as a box in my garage and recently moved into a 4,000 sqft warehouse. My annual sales are around the 400k mark right now and growing.

If you are currently doing large volume eBay sales, contact me, I'm interested in meeting other people in this field and exchanging contacts, ideas, other things which can help both of our businesses grow.

Good for you man. I never did well on ebay, traditional eComm has worked well for me. you'll find a lot of good info here.

    Welcome.

What do you do radar? Do you work with Magento or some other platform? Are you dropshipping or do you have your own products?

Volusion/Dreamweaver. Depends. Dropship mainly, light bulk. I target high ticket items, so I don't have to sell 10 million items to make a decent penny. You must have a decent mark up if eBay works for you - I've always had much better success ranking organically. It's a long term play, but once you're there, the pay out is good.

PS - good to see you're a donor. Feel free to skype me if you get a min @radarsurge

I started in this business and have developed it to the point of a comfortable living.
Mainly I dropship high ticket items and look for a decent ROI within my products. I am not a volume seller.

Yeah I've personally found its easier to make the business run on high ticket items also. With our warehouse, we are getting a bit of efficency and that allows us to actually ship lower ticket items also.

Yeah, Logistics is key to push lower ticket products. You cannot afford to touch every product to many times
when the profit is not in it.

Hey Phil, I run an ebay business as well. Right now I am ramping up and focusing on lower dollar items (8-60) and am contemplating changing my strategy around a little bit. I also supplement that income with poker, which it looks like you do too? We should throw some ideas around.

    Ill pm you my skype

Hey Phil, I own a eBay business (of which I run fulltime) with a turnover of around £200,000. It'd be great to brainstorm with a fellow eBayer, do you have Skype?

    Kind regards,
    Sean

I just put Ebay in the title-- We use Amazon too, and any serious seller should be on both tbh.

Well, i have personally managed 5 Ebay accounts that were all platinum status. The average yearly turnover is about 650000 to 730000 a year. ROI was about 42% up 65%.
I have moved to Europe and sold my accounts.... but i know a lot of ways to grow and make a 6 figure income on Ebay. I will be interested in exchanging services for ranking my new site in Europe , and in return i can teach that person how to make a load of money on Ebay, with authentic and legal products all sourced from the USA, so no China stuff....
PM if you are good at SEO and have an already good standing Ebay account and Willing to work it.

My bad! it seems like my post triggered BHW's spam filter and i can't make a reply to this thread.

Edit : Its good to see, that you people are making six figures on eBay. I guess i am going to stick to sell personal stuff first, and then look for wholesaler from where i can get things and put them on eBay... Again: i am happy for all of your's success...

    OP 400k turnover...what's your profit?

It's good to know it can be done.....personally i was wonderig if it could wioth sooo much competition.

    I presume it's all W.H. stuff?

HATCRUIZER that was impressive. But why did you sell out?

The huge probkem with ebay is....they may simply decide one day your acount is banned.

I like to fouc on products >£20 profit only....i can't be a*** with £1 profits here and there.

Yup, understood. but i can image the amount of profit one can make out of 6 figures in sales.

Interesting thread. Where would one look to source wholesale goods from the USA? Seems like almost all manufactoring is done in China now a days.

Well without giving too much away currently my business is in an aggressive growth stage so we have invested in some heavy infrastructure which immensely eats into our profits. Our goal is to be in the multi-million dollar online sales, and we have purchased some serious infrastructure to do that. Currently we can ship probably 2 mil gross of product with our infrastructure. So I think if we werent expanding, we would be netting aroudn 20%-25%. I believe this is probably a higher margin than most ebay sales get but we are in specialized fields. I could be wrong.

What type of goods are you looking for, I might be able to give you some starting points for USA. We buy some things from china, its much better now than it used to be 5 years ago since hte chinese have gotten quite good at dealing with US people. Still be wary there are alot of bad chinese sources.
