3 weeks ago I started a new site. The website has 8 unique posts now. I'm targeting long-tail KWs. This is what I did:

    • Ordered 400 retweets from fiverr (homepage),
    • Ordered Social Bookmarks (8x250) from this forum; 250 sbs for each url (used 4 KW-variations)
    • Ordered 100 High PR Profiles (3 urls x 1KW - no variations)
    • Build 4 2.0s and blasted them with SB and edu links
    • Manually (!) submitted maybe 30 comments on high PR blogs using different anchors.

After an initial rise (1st page within one week) my rankings has been going down over the last few days.

Do you guys think it's a dance or have I done too much over the past 3 weeks?

    Thanks for any suggestions!

If you want to keep the top position then you need to keep submitting fresh content; that's my opinion as to why your results are slowly withering away.

I think it all depends on how competitive this niche is...

I agree with @MrPanda - keep adding fresh content and you should be back up. Also, 3 wks is nothing for a site, give it some time to bounce back.

The first couple of weeks there is always a lot of up and down especially when you've done link building of this quantity. Don't sweat it just yet. It usually takes about 30-45 days to start seeing stability.

That is not too much. If anything it is probably too little.

Social bookmarks aren't that powerful anymore.

Also make sure to use as many different anchors as possible, including making the URL (yoursite.com) an anchor whenever possible.

The result does not matter in my opinion .. What does is how competitive the niche is ? If it competitive then you should keep working hard ...

New websites tend to go high up at first then drop back. Just keep building content and good links and it should start to go back forward once it is settled.
