After the warnings I got using sape links the other week I created another site (same niche) and redirected a domain (wasn't penalised or associated to the penalised sites in any way) and I was ranking number 1/2 for a couple of weeks for a big keyword and ranked for about 2 others within the top 10.

Checked today and I am on the 4/5th page for them keywords but now EVERY keyword I was looking to rank for (around 12 keywords) at some point and wasn't before is ranking on the 5th page.

I know usually when you get slapped that's what happens but I haven't done any major backlinking yet and the domain I 301'd for hasn't been penalised so could this just be a dance or has it been slapped for some reason? I would of thought if it had been slapped that all the keywords I wasn't ranking for wouldn't be ranking now either am I right?

There is some major dancing going on as some of the keywords are fluctuating a lot between the 5th page and 9th+ page and I have been checking ever hour since this morning and its changing all the time.

This is the new site though which I haven't used sape on. The domain is about 4 month old and all I have done so far is redirected a domain I used to use which never used sape either. I have created a few web2.0s and done a few social shares etc and that's it

So the website is 4 months old? How long have you been building backlinks for? I saw you said you created a few web 2.0 - were they recent? Did the domain have any backlinks pointed to it prior to you purchasing it?

I have been building links for around a week, if that and not many either. 10-12 web2.0s maybe. Only two have been indexed up to now as well.

I can't think of any reason why it would get slapped.

Yes you have had a temporary slap and lost around 50 spots. Remove any links that may be causing the problem but if you were building backlinks prior to this slap, do not stop, just focus on more high quality links. If the backlinking just stops it is definitely a clear sign to Google that the links were being built manually.

The only links I have created are around 10 unique web 2.0s though. Could it be the redirect thats the issue? If i remove it would that help?

I know if I do remove it I will lose rankings altogether until I build up some links etc but I suppose its worth it rather than having a useless slapped domain.
