Have any of you deleted all your pics and started over in a new niche?

I'm really thinking of doing it, even though I have loads of pics scraped for the accounts which I might start over on. They all have around 6-8k followers. It's just the thought of the time wasted setting them up that's putting me off it.

The reason is because none of them are in the same niche and in the future I'd like to set up a store of some kind that will sell health/bodybuilding products and have all my accounts direct traffic to it. When I first set the accounts up I never really thought much about it.

So have any of you started an account over in a new niche and how big where they, was it worth it, did most of your followers leave you once you started uploading pics from a different niche etc.? FYI 3 of my accounts are niches of foodporn, exotic cars and travel

    :)

Well... starting over isn't the worst thing to do if you're sorta related. Like for health/bodybuilding if you had a babes page maybe that would've been okay. Foodporn would've been okay if you had sorta healthy stuff but I'm guessing you did what a lot of people do in that niche, which is post burgers, pizza, chocolate, etc. Cars and travel most certainly won't convert well. Honestly I wouldn't do it if I were you. You'll lose a guaranteed 10-20% of your followers, and for the travel page maybe even up to half. Not only that, but your engagement will be terrible. If I subscribed on Youtube to a guy making funny videos, and then suddenly the next thing I know he says screw it and starts educational videos for music class.. I'd unsub straight away. Just because not only am I not interested, but that's annoying as hell when someone does a 180 flip and basically gives me and everyone else who subbed the middle finger. I'd start over with brand new pages. Honestly if you don't want to keep your 6-8K, just sell them for $5 or something to a friend or whatever.

I agree with Avilux. First of all when people see you on the news feeds or TL, they're gonna wonder "who tf is this and when did I start following them?". Then if they put 2 and 2 together, you're screwed immediately because now you're posting things that they didn't follow you for. Its not necessarily that they wont be interested in the new niche, but if I follow BMW for cars and then BMW decides to switch it up to clothes behind my back, I'd be pissed. So pissed that I'd completely disregard the probability that I'll like the clothing niche, and un-follow you simply for the principle. You might just want to use these other pages to cross promote. You don't wanna risk losing 2k followers for the switch up.

yeah i just post burgers, chocolate cakes and other chit like that lol. If I kept that page I'm not really sure where I'd make money from it. I do have a babes page which i'm gonna keep for the future. Tbh about losing the 7k followers on those 3 accounts I'm thinking of swapping niches (cars, travel & foodporn) I'm not really that bothered about losing some followers who aren't interested. Plus I can't make anymore accounts. I'm in a pickle as to whether change them before they get too big and I've spent too much time on them

I've only done it once but it was in a similar niche. Engagement didn't drop as much and I also didn't lose much followers.

I made it once and it was simular niche. So my followers stayed with me. If you starting over and want to keep followers, try to make the swap comfort for you followers and do not extremly change the niche (lifestyle and travelling or foodporn are related niche. but swapping art to soccer is not good and followers would go away)

I changed a babes niche to cars. Account was around 2k followers. Engagement is not where I want it to be.

If you really have to you can do it slowly, like post more and more fitness pics on your foodporn page until it's all fitness
