Have a website ranking awfully, it's keywords are it's domain and I can't see why

    Hi,

I've recently redesigned a wordpress site. Been trying to rank it but the keywords seems to be all over the place!

    Most Common Keywords
    training - 12 times - 4.15%
    - - 8 times - 2.77%
    profile - 7 times - 2.42%
    care - 6 times - 2.08%
    development - 6 times - 2.08%

How would I go about changing this? I've been anchoring different keywords on pages to relevant content and creating backlinks with different keywords.

One thing I have started doing is writing blogs based in local towns. So we have the following categories:

    - Apprenticeships
    -- Town1
    -- Town2
    -- Town3
    -- Town4

and I put it in the relevant town, is this good?

    Thanks

You need to focus upon a few keywords at a time and build good quality links with correct anchors to them. Plus, do everything local including google places and submissions to local directories and citations.

I've been doing local directories with my 5 main keywords. My keywords are pretty generic. Should I be doing *Keyword* in UK etc? or even more local?

    Thanks
