Well a friend of mine is currently running a blackhat service:

He uses stolen accounts to like other people facebook fanpages.

Although he said it is hard to get in trouble as facebook doesn't care.

Is it true that he won't get in trouble for doing such things?

Yes FB obviously cares about hacking and using stolen accounts, and then using those accounts to provide fake likes for pages.

It may be hard for FB to do anything about it if they cannot detect any unusual activity or anything against TOS.

If your friend was smart he would check all the accounts to see if any are admin of large fanpages then try to sell the fanpages he acquires, but I do not condone hacking bulk accounts for this reason, I don't even consider it blackhat.

So well do you think he is safe with what he is doing? He is an experienced blackhatter and he is using a program to like these fanpages with all the accounts. He makes some nice money though and is offering geo-targeted services, of every country basically.

btw if I may ask, how are you doing your service (as seen in your signature)

Well personally I would never do that, but to each his own. I don't really advertise selling likes/fans I sell entire facebook pages. I would never run a service like he is doing for a few reasons.

-The likes to the page are essentially fake

-If the accounts he is using find out that they have been stolen they will be pretty pissed and probably unlike all the pages that they were forced to like, and may even word of mouth tell their friends/family that a fanpage hacked their account to force a like

-When the real owners find out they will probably unlike the page, so if he sells 10k fans and only 30% find out and unlike the page then the buyer will only receive ~7k likes in the end and I doubt the buyers of his service would be return customers.

-Most of the account owners will probably report the pages to FB or at least posts

-When this happens you usually will see responses to page posts saying "How did I like this page?" or "This page hacked my FB account". That is something I would not want any of my fans reading about, you will lose a lot or respect from fans and may lose fans as well. If this is a business page or for a company/entity then I wouldn't want to associate myself with shady practices like this!

-I keep real fans gathered by ethical methods than stealing accounts or clikcjacking, that is why I have many happy customers.
