The other day I wrote an article and came back 30 minutes later to find that it had already been indexed. I just wrote another article and checked it straight after I wrote it, it wasn't indexed. I did checked it less than one minute later and it was indexed. Is it just me or has the time it takes for Google to index a post decreased significantly. I remember checking the time a couple of years back and it was taking a day, sometimes two to get indexed. Or has it always been this fast?

I think something has sped up.

I put up a BRAND new site yesterday, 1 single article of about 3k words. Did not submit to google or post any links. I went to make dinner and when i came back it was indexed.

Agreed. My new sites get indexed in max 2 days. I use wordpress and google xml sitemap plugin to generate and submit sitemaps right away.
Maybe that's my case.

Hmmm... I just checked the indexing status of my newest PBN sites that were put online <18hrs ago, and >80% are indexed already.

I'm not quite sure how long they were taking in the past, but that does seem quite fast.

How do you see when they were indexed? It would be interesting to go back and see post publish time and compare it to index time to see if there is any differences between posts that get indexed fast and those that take longer.

Same here indexed new domains in 24 hour over and over again these days

To speed up the process, put a youtube video on your post, this will help to get indexed quickly. Once indexed, you can remove the video.
