I think they have not stopped. Temporarily paused the new registration.
until amazon stops they will continue.
In a decade both of them will stop.

Do they convert as good as Amazon?

I never found any good review about Flipkart on public forums. People are bashing it left, right and center. Amazon's easy refunds surely brought them some fans.

people prefer Flipkart over Amazon in India, and yeah converts really good I worked with them for few days during Diwali festive sales generated some good revenue
