Seems ChatGPT has become synonymous with using AI chatbots, the same way Google had become synonymous with using Search engines ie Google it.

Been reading lots of articles of people using ChatGPT when in reality it was a different Chatbot completely.

Anyone else think Google may have already lost the AI battle or will they make a comeback and dominate the market?

Nah, it's true that ChatGPT is a powerful tool but it has its limitations. And it is still too early to say whether Google has lost the AI battle. I am confident that they will continue to develop new and better AI tools in the future.
 
still too soon to tell. Maybe in a couple of years, we will then see which one will dominate the market.

Definitely not. I feel like the field is still wide open.
 
Well, It would be kind of stupid to think that Google can have it all, that Google can turn everything into a gold and dominate all they touch.. In a fact they are famous at bad executions on many projects, but of course from other hand it is hard to get my head around the fact Google would by any chance loose to somebody at AI tech. We have to sit tight and see where this is going.

And also we got to remember that Open AI and Google are actually 2 very different companies.

While ChatGPT currently has the market in its hand, Google has nearly infinite resources to attain something similar.

They have nearly infinite resources to combat it. Whether or not they'll choose that path remains to be seen, but it's probable.

When Quantum computing rolls out, then AI will really dominate the world, till there, we're just experiencing the first steps of a long race.
 
No i didnt know it had competitors just tried a few and they are good just unknown this is the start
