Are you talking about your own expired domains or buying expired traffic?

If they're you're own domains then you should have a fair idea of what the domains are about, so you could put up geotargeted offers related to that niche. You could potentially make more than just sending it to a PPC company if your ads and offers where good.

Much more difficult if you're buying the traffic - you have no idea what kinds of domains it's coming from, so targeting your offers would be very difficult.

I'd say most people buying the latter type of traffic are using it to increase their Alexa ranking, increase Youtube views etc rather than trying to convert it.
