Has anyone sold a website on DP lately? They require you to grant PayPal permissions...

Has anyone accepted these terms? Should I be worried? Granting access to my PayPal is a new thing to me.

I haven't sold or bought a site on DP for a couple years. Things have really changed.

I personally wouldn't give them permissions to my paypal, FLIPPA is a better place to sell a website, The owner of DP went to prison for fraud, so the site can't be trusted.

I don't know why PayPal allows this.

They used to be great and busy but now it's so dead... in 2010-2011, I really liked it but it died.
They used to have shitload of members online and nowadays it takes ages to get a reply... that forum is dead but it used to be a great forum.
They used to have more and better services than here (no disrespect to BHW) but now it's just gone... they are all building links 'whitehat' (not even sure what that means as I thought it was always against google guidelines to build links in the first place).... so as I can see they keep telling each other that they should get awesome content and links will come in naturally.

White hat link building could be, for example, adding your URL to your company's directory listings. It could be working with industry bloggers to get attention, or media outlets, whatever.

There is no white hat SEO, just illegal link building that is paid or hacked vs getting someone to give a care about sharing your website. Amazon is NOT white hat, they advertise and get people to use affiliation to further their strongholds.

it could be and it does... I keep saying that there're some nice directories which are worth submitting to but they all say that directories are dead nowadays.

From my point of view... everything works... it's just the way you do it and after so many sites went dead (thanks to google scaring them), it's much easier to find great sites to post on.
It's just my opinion and I find it much easier nowadays to copy competitors' links then ever before.

No, your MFA site on Gucci hand bags will not be ranked higher by directory links. Meanwhile, a dentist in the town of Moosejaw better have every intent to get their business listed in every large Moosejaw directory out there. Yes copying competitor links is another smart approach, which many times, leads to directories. By directory, I don't mean a spray approach. Directories that are manually edited where you have to email or call the owner, convince them why your business deserves being listed, etc. If the only thing holding you back from a link is email confirmation, the story is usually otherwise.

    Lol.
    > Goes to jail for fraud
    > Asks for complete control of your money on website.
    Seems legit.

I don't understand why would they need such detailed access of our Paypal. Flippa is a bigger marketplace and they don't require any such stuff.
