Has anyone seen issue with BHW alert system?

I had been watching some threads , usually i get emails whenever there is new post on thise thread. But many times i have seen there is email even when there is new post.
Has anyone seen this issue?

Do you mean you are not receiving the email, even if some posts, posted on the watching threads?

It might the reason

You are watching the thread.
You are receiving the email and alert on BHW for a new post.

You have to visit the thread after logging in to your account.

You haven't visited the thread or you have visited the thread without logging in means, You will not get the alert (notification mail for the further new post)

I hope you got the point.

If you watched thread, you can get regular emails whenever there is a new post from a new member or repeated member as well.
 
Maybe posts are getting removed and when you finally arrive to check the thread(s), you find no new posts.

New posts still there but no emails...
This is not happening for all cases but say about 2 or 3 % times....but still it happens

Ahhhh! Now I understand. Yes, sometimes I am not receiving any emails.
So many times, I have checked manually.

I hope this helped you. Even I thought there is some problem with the alert system. But when I monitored it I have found this.​

I misunderstood you then. I thought it's the other way around, that you're getting email notifications and when you check the watched threads, there are no new posts.

I don't know about the watched threads feature, i'm not using it, but for instance when a post of yours is thanked by multiple users in a short time frame, you won't receive alerts from all, just one. Maybe it's similar for the posts in watched threads and you receive only one alert/email in a certain time frame even if there are multiple posts. If it's not it, i have no clue.

It appears gary2 came to the rescue above me. :)

That is gonna help millions here. You cant find that reason here how hard you try...need someone like you to tell other....great bro.
