I want to merge a big page with a little page. Has anyone had it backfire on them and end up with a bunch of unlikes?

The first page is a humor page dedicated to a specific niche, the second one is a brand. I want the brand one to be the main one. The humor one is pretty much the same posts and I usually share the brand's post on the humor one so the content is pretty much the same the only difference will be the logo and the name.

I have been a victim of mixed up pages. I remember I was given a job by the client and three different systems had been put together. It is the worst experience that I went through just trying to separate the three different systems. I however at the end managed to separate them. It was an amazing learning experience that I have never forgotten till today. I hope that I will come across similar tasks in the near future so that I can continue enjoying and sharpening my skills.

Wow , was it that bad? How did the pages end up mixed up? Here I'm just trying to send the fans from my funny page to the fans on my brand's page, because facebook rejects my brand's ads, but once I hit a threshold of good amount of fans interested in that niche I wanted to send them over to my brand's page to strengthen it. Then I market them.
