I'm wondering if anyone has figured out how to fix a manual penalty from google for Thin Content. If so, what did you do exactly to get reapproved?

First delete your copyright content, then submit you site again in webmaster.

Thin content penalty is not due to copyright violation. Its because google thinks your content doesn't provide value to the visitors.

To OP, i have tried multiple reconsideration requests after a thin content penalty with no success. I have read someone getting the site back after a pure spam penalty though.

I've tried as well with no success. I even removed all aff links from one site which had high quality unique hand written articles and no backlinks built without success.

And with another site, I just took it down and uploaded all content (around 50 articles) to a brand new domain, guess what? Not a single keyword ranked in the top 100 after many months.

I haven't, but someone I know fixed a thin content penalty.

He completely redesigned his site, upgrading previous contents and deleting some contents that really didn't add any value. Made reconsideration request and boom! They revoked the penalty.

He really thinks re-designing his site is what made the difference.
