I have thousands of ebooks on my computer and I just can't be arsed sittin here to read them all.

One of those new Sony Readers would do very nicely, they're a bit pricey tho so I'd like to know if they're ne good b4 I get one, anyone eer even touched one?

I have an ebook reader on my iphone but I never use it. If you need a cheap ebook reader try ebay.

iirc, the amazon kindle device only lets you read ebooks you've purchased through it. the sony readers are great tho.

i myself use my trusty old ipaq 214 for reading on the can or when travelling...PDAs might not have such a big screen, but you can do so much more - taking notes while reading a book is worth it by itself imho

just a thought but doesn't adobe actually have a reading-text option? like it will read to you? maybe you could somehow get it to do that, record it, and throw it on your ipod or whatever and just listen to it?

there must be some kind of option like this.. might work for you if you're on the go and can't do soemthing like kindle (which supposedly has a feature that will convert ebooks to the right format if you pay like ten cents or something - look into it)

Are you talking about an ebook reader, like a gadget? I definitely need to get one of those. If anyone's affiliated with a company, pm me your affiliate link :)

That's true it does. In Adobe Reader, the option is under 'View', 'Read Out Loud'.

You may need to install the Microsoft Text-to-Speech engine if you don't have it. You can get that here:

so yeah if that's an option and it's really worth it to you just use camtasia's speaker-recording option or something to record the text while you're at work or someplace and slowly you'll have the audio files to listen to on the go.

not a bad idea, i might actually do that myself. course.. i might just, you know.. read it on my computer.. :)
