Has anyone else noticed a recent pickup in sales?

The last few months haven't been very productive, but the last week or so has seen a nice pickup in sales.

has anyone else had this? nothing amazing, but a definate appreciable increase in sales?

Christmas shopping? or people "spending" there way through the credit-crunch?
