    Hi There,

In my country holidays booking on the www is very populair, so i want to try to make some good money from it.
But competition is hard and all are pretty big companies.

    I looked for this keywords

    Vakantie local exact searches 60.500
Goedkope vakantie local exact searches 22.200
Last minute vakantie local exact searches 49.500
    Zonvakantie local exact searches 14.800

All domains are old 2 till 7 years and have pr 1 - 3.

I now it is hard, and i now for sure that iam a verry green newbie, but i want to try it, and make it step by step happen...

Becoure iam new in seo i can use all the possible help, from step one to the end.

Maybe some of you experts can help me started and give me advice how to start and what to do first and what to do last.

All help is very welcom, and big thanks...

Its possible but it will take a lot of work, time and probably a lot of money too. Unless you are ready to invest all that, I would start off with smaller niches.

Yes like GiorgioB says, start off with easier keywords to rank which include the main keyword. Example. If you main keyword is "thailand vacation" first rank "thailand vacation packages" because it will be a lot faster to rank. After you rank the long tail keywords go for the main ones.

It is better to start with some easy niche, you will learn much when you do it. Maybe you get some money from that too and you can then invest that money to harder niche. And yes, it is possible to rank, everything is possible with google :D

Go for long tails. Tackle it by breaking down the big site into smaller sites and than beating them in each category.

So category 1 will be one site, category 2 will be your second site etc.

Update your website content frequently and optimize the onsite with lots of internal linking, in mean time start linkbuilding using long tails with lsi. Once the longtails reaches the first/second page then concentrate on main keywords. I'm sure you will be on first page for the next vacation season.

Thanks for all the advice. I will take a look and it and give it a shot.

I will buy a new domain, and start building the site with lots of internal linking. And start a big backlinging campaign.

Someone got some bhs advice to get it fast in the top 30? Maybe buy a lot of article links or buy complete package on fiverr?

    Thanks again.

A fellow Dutch guy here. Personally I wouldn't go for it. But if you do, please keep us updated.

As for the high volume exact match keywords, 99% of all the Dutch websites have high pr backlinks which they paid for, and the amount you need to pay per link in The Netherlands is outrageous. It's one big Mafia.

So what I would do (as mentioned above) is to try and rank for long tail keywords, something like 'goedkoop vliegen naar alicante' . Go look that one up, it's fairly easy.

I agree with catardat - start with logtail versions of your main keyword, when you rank them your site will also move up for your main keywords. Don't waste your time trying to rank for the hardest keywords right off the bat.
