I just want to bring awareness to the massive ignorance of the celebration worldwide for thousands of years of the WINTER SOLSTICE. The ignorance and unawareness of the history and importance of the winter solstice in at least where I am (USA) is ridiculous.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winter_Solstice
"The winter solstice may have been immensely important because communities were not certain of living through the winter, and had to be prepared during the previous nine months. Starvation was common in winter between January and April, also known as "the famine months". In temperate climates, the midwinter festival was the last feast celebration, before deep winter began. Most cattle were slaughtered so they would not have to be fed during the winter, so it was almost the only time of year when a supply of fresh meat was available. The majority of wine and beer made during the year was finally fermented and ready for drinking at this time."

How many people this year talked about the winter solstice with you. Has ANYONE ever mentioned the history or importance of it to you???

For those who know, Jesus' birthday was most likely chosen to cover up (downplay, etc) the knowledge and celebration of the winter solstice. This is debatable but highly likely in my opinion.

There are ancient structures all over the world including STONEHENGE that only shine line through an opening EXACTLY on the winter solstice.

I'm not trying to talk shit about Christmas in my thread title. I just wanted to get your attention [:

Merry Christmas and Happy Solstice bhw!
