Haha gz, i'll buy mine on the next week, we have some national stuff on this weekend and every shop closed ;)

I heard win 7 it a peice of shit. Nothing better than windows vista. Still slow. Just fast GUI.

I got it...not sure when I will get the time to upgrade my vista machine though.

Wait six months till the bugs ironed out and the updates out

My college has been offering windows 7 professional since the last month to every student.
It's much faster than Vista. It's basically Vista with XP perfomance. Rocks (:

Been using Win 7 64-bit for about a month. Solid, much less overhead than Vista. Decent and worthwhile upgrade, IMHO.

Win7 kills Vista and is definitely a worthy upgrade over XP too. Been running it for a few weeks now and haven't had any issues with it.

I have been using Win7 RC since the end of the summer, and have been pretty satisfied. I noticed the battery performance is much better, and I love the new taskbar. I didnt see an increase in performance save for the battery, but still worth it seeing as my copy cost me only $50 (which should be shipping out today).

Does anyone know if there are any big improvements between the retail and RC versions?

Win 7 OEM copy here, love it....Only been a week though but so far great

Vista, sucked for me...

I've been using windows 7 for at least 2 months now and it solved all of the problems i was having with my wireless and graphics. and i've had no problems or glitches

I've had it since the beta was first released. Beta crashed once on me, RC has never crashed at all since I installed it. To anyone waiting for the bugs to be ironed out, they already have been in my opinion, this was microsofts first public beta for a OS, so bugs were worked out before it's official release. Although no software can every be completely bug free. That being said I haven't enjoyed any OS as much as this one, and if you are using modern hardware you will see a performance increase over XP with windows 7, as XP does not support modern features, such as HPET for example.
