Ironically enough after reading a blog post on the Adsense Blog about "Holiday Sites" I decided to create a Christmas auto-blog website. It would of been nice to create a Halloween site, but unfortunately I don't have enough time to get this setup and marketed correctly before the big day. Accordingly to Google (and I can confirm this) quite a lot of "holiday" advertisers pay premium for Google Placement with adsense. I have been running a website that is about "Unique Gift Ideas" and around the time of Valentine's Day I see my click go from an average of $0.75 to up around $4.50 per click. This lasts for about a month before V-Day. I've seen this for the last 2 years now... So I created a Christmas site (well... a niche inside of Christmas) a few days ago, and i'll see how it goes. What I did/will do: #1 Bought a .info site a GoDaddy for a couple of bucks. I then will host it on my personal VPS using cPanel/WHM. #2 I ran my wordpress auto-installer (script I wrote; it makes the install about 95% automated), and select what theme I want. I useed Artisteer to create a quick looking Christmas template. #3 I setup the blog and i'm having it grab articles from SeoLinkVine, and Videos at VideoSwiper. I'm writing 2-3 articles a day and using TheBestSpinner, and i'm also submitting some of those articles to various article resources. #4 I created a FaceBook Fanpage, Twitter Account, and YouTube Channel. Posting on all of those a few times a day. I also am posting some of the articels and/or videos to Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit etc.. (Forgot to add) #5 I am currently using ScrapeBox to find high (PR6+) Christmas blogs so I can "manually" submit comments to. #6 I'll sit back.. and see what happens. I do see that Google has indexed the page and also indexed 14 other pages within 2 days of it being up. -------------------- SO.... anyone else doing the same, and seeing higher prices per click?
