Just saw on the news in my country that hackers stoled over 1 BILLION $ over 2 years from ATM's around the world.
Hackers used a virus named CARBANAC that was sent to bank operators and the virus quickly move in the system in the main server from where they were able to transfer money or make internet payments as well to make ATM's to start "spiting" all the money at certain time set by them. The time was at 3 or 4 AM and who came after the money did not even need to touch the ATM.
Hackers were not found yet and I belive they will never be found.

THIS IS THE BIGEST HACKER HEIST IN HISTORY!!!

I am pretty impressed by those who created the malware , yet disappointed ,that's not how you start sky-rocketing your earnings , instead you gotta keep working on your business

The news says millions, not a billion.

Also how stupid does a bank NetOps team have to be to have teller computers that can access email hooked up to the same network as ATMs - seems nuts!

According to Kaspersky Labs the estimated amount can be 3x more higher than 300millions or even more , means $1billion+

There is enough money to fund a entire organization of illegal activities i.e. terrorism, hacker activities and money laundering and scams. The banks will never learn it seems.

If they stole such a large amout they will sure get caught in the next weeks or months.

Only way these people get caught is if one of the members snitch (unlikely as hell since they are millionaires) or if they left a trace.

If they stole 1 billion dollars before anyone found out I don't think they left a trace.

Anyway job well done hackers lol

Good luck to them I say, at least they'll spend the money unlike the get phat shareholders.
