Hackers - Can someone explain their logic to me please?

A little too harsh to say you want someone's entire family to be turned into red mist because of stupid actions of one guy.

Regardless, I think they just get satisfaction from finding vulnerabilities in sites and exploiting them. I can only assume they look at the sites they hacked as trophies of some sort.

Terrorists don't care if they live or die.

Donald Trump said it right, you can't attack them. Just attack everyone the know.

I don't quite understand hackers either. About two months ago someone hacked my site (which is actually just an info hub for medical info from actual experts, almost no monetization) and just deleted everything. For what? I have no clue.

Best is to not think about it, fix it and learn from it. Now I'm quite sure nobody can hack my sites again, so I got that going for me, which is nice.

Btw., I'm pro israel, because the world doesn't need another state dictated by sharia crap law. Israel itself is freakin' awesome... at least they contribute to the world with science.

it's like if a cocasian hacked your site to promote his personal agenda, would u bash his entire community based on that one person's believes?

I'm "bashing" the community of terrorists. Not an entire religion, region or race.

Don't give me that fucking bullshit.

Isn't it quite common to actually hack a site just for lulz?

Although this doesn't seem for lulz, it might as well be. Some 15-year-old could have done it thinking it will make his/hers group/whatever proud.

Just make regular backups and don't stress about that shit.

For someone that was heavily involved in the hacking scene back in the day, I can tell you their "reason" for hacking the site is anything they can think of that they can use to morally justify their actions to themselves. You're just another random site they found with a easy to exploit vulnerability, to which they justified it to themselves after the hack. You weren't "targeted".

Kids do it because they are drawn to the challenges, the "i beat the system" feeling and the illusion of power you get when you pull off a successful hack.

Those last two lines will hit the bleeding heart, ultrasensitive PC crowd right in the feelers
