Hacked site?

    While doing a quick audit for a potential client, I saw their link profile was filled with spammy keywords. Upon closer inspection, it looks like the site was hacked, because some of their anchors point back to sitename.com/spammy-keywords. When I follow that link, it redirects to a russian or chinese site selling handbags, etc.

    The current site is built with Adobe Muse, and I'm wondering if bringing it over to WordPress will solve the problem in terms of the injection since I'm only using the images/content from the existing site, not the HTML/JS?

    Obviously, they'll want to disavow the links as well. I'm even beginning to think it might be worth just setting up on a new domain, but I want to find the answer to my questions first.
