Hey,

Hope you all are doing great and staying safe! So I started a little streetwear business. I really like to design dope stuff. Have my Instagram page slowly growing. Doing all by the book. But I wanted to ask about Instagram promotion, buying shoutouts, etc. What account types I should be focused on? Because tried some meme pages (10 - 20K followers), but the results were low.
And have someone already tried something familiar with Facebook group promotional posts or its all waste of time? Thank you all, wishing you all the best!

For fashion brands you are best working with actual influencers, so they can wear the clothes.

Thought of that too, but some small influencers (30-50K followers) ask for an absurd number for a shoutout. What are your thoughts about Facebook fan pages/ groups?

It takes some looking, but start with relevant nano influencers who have less than 10k followers with really high engagement rates. They tend not to be monetized or just starting out. If they like your stuff you can typically negotiate a post for just giving them free garments. Then take your profits and scale up.

In my opinion, streetwear is really saturated.. It's hard to create something unique that people will actually wear, unless you use influencers/"celebrities" to promote - which can be VERY effective.

Not sure if it still works like that but can't you for an example just offer them the piece of clothing of your brand in exchange for a shout-out (so they wear it in a photo), you know, the "want to be our ambassador" method but without them paying for your merch.

Giving them to small time influencer is the best thing. If you want to find some influencers that are not that famous. Go To the search section of instagram and scroll down a lot .. find a girl or boy, click on the hashtag that you think is best . Find your ideal influencer there.

Target influences with peak engagement. Female accounts tend to have maxed out engagement.

Even small influencers would ask for an "absurd number" for a review, if they consider it their full-time job. Try Instagram ads.

Big thanks for everyone that shared their experience and opinions on this subject. Will try couple things as you guys mentioned. Wishing you all health and wealth. Blessed. :)
