    Hi there,

you know you can setup in GWT the target country of your site. How about multilingual sites. is there a way to setup an additional targeted country for the other language and to upload a sitemap of the second languages interface urls?

    thanks!

    thanks albert.

If you setup UK in the preferences of GWA your site will rank in the UK good if everything is setup properly. but what if you target morethan one country?

    Hey subster,
The recommended way to set up a site for multiple countries is this:

    1) do not set them up on url parameters like url.com/language=en
    2) DO set them up as different shops
best option: url.de for german, url.co.uk for UK version
also good: like de.url.com for german and en.url.com for UK version / url.com/de and url.com/en
    3) then create a webmaster tools account for both, target the correct language with each
    4) different sitemaps of course
    5) interlink both shop versions so de.url.com links to en.url.com and back. give them

Important: if you f.e. set this up for more than one country in one language (f.e. uk and us) so you have url.com/en and url.com/us then add a rel=canonical tag so google doesnt penalize u for duplicate content
