I am No.1 in Google for my keywords.
There is approximately 730 searches a day for my keywords.
Market Samurai shows me that I would obtain approximately 383 clicks day
    My AWW is $11.16
My SEOV total value is $380.03

    So what is my problem?
    No traffic at No.1
    No clicks.
    No conversion.

What's the day? I did strong keyword research and found a niche and not there is no traffic - which is not what Market Samurai says.

    What's the deal.

    I am completely confused now.

    Thanks,
    John

Are you sure it's really #1 or it's #1 on your personalized search results?

    Google does that nowadays.

Make sure to run CCleaner then re-check your rank... could be innacurate results as well but you said you did a thorough search on the keyword.

Also could be A off day? I know that MOST of my sites get a lot of their traffic on the weekends where as some get a lot on Mondays ETC. How long has it been #1?

What does Google Adwords estimate your clicks to be?

Yea thats not bad you SHOULD be getting some traffic, which is strange... its not a niche specific to a certain country right? Cause that will cause your (I assume) US based site to be really low in other countries SERPs.

    Just another idea I had.

730 searches a day... is that for broad or exact match volume? Try searching the google keyword tool with your keyword and set the match type to exact. You might find that your keyword doesnt actually get many searches.

That's what I thought as well. The keyword might be under Broad instead of exact.

if it's 880 global searches with exact match, then i guess i would not get that much traffic at #6.

Yup theres your problem, theres an average of 29 searches a day for your exact keyword. And being ranked number 6 means that people using firefox and explorer will have to scroll down to see your listing. So yeah, get to number one :) and when you research your next niche use exact match.

I am curious. Is it essential to rank high for exact or broad match. I thought exact match happens before broad match---or have I understood this bit wrong?

Your best bet now aside from trying to move up the rank is to do a catchy meta description.

Exact match means your exact keyword. E.g: i like cheese. Setting search volume results to Exact Match will show you how many times "i like cheese" is searched per month.

Broad match however will show you how many times any combination of your keyword is searched per month. E.g: "i like cheese", or "like i cheese", or "cheese i like", or "i like the cheese all over my face" etc... will be added to your search volume results for the keyword "i like cheese".

P.S. The your title tag is more important than any meta tag. <title>Your Keyphrase Here plus a few extra words</title>

Example of a good title tag: http://www.google.co.nz/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=buy+ffxiii&btnG=Google+Search&meta=&aq=f&oq= result number 1.

One thing I have noticed is a lot of people that get high listings on good keyword phrases is that they screw up the title and description google shows.

What I mean by that is the title and description suck and is not inviting. The surfer just scrolls by it to a lower listing to click on. One that is more appealing to them.
