    Hello,

So I had this guy ordering 10,000 twitter followers from my website (the site clearly says that they are not real I am not a scammer) and I have tons of satisfied customers.

But this guy probably didn't notice that they are bots and now he is pissed that he got 15,000 bot followers and he wants me to make them unfollow his profile which is most likely not possible cause I use a fiverr guy who can't do it lol

So he just told me that he will involve the police if the followers won't dissapear by tomorrow :D

I live in a eurpean country and he in america.

Is there any way he could do something against me?

Nah, if the site said these were botted / fake then why are you worrying? He's just trying to scare you.

I don't know anything at all about these kinds of legal things but it seems this guy blowing smoke. And if it says clearly that he was buying 10,000 twitter followers then there is nothing legal he can do about it.

This is ridiculous, just ignore his emails/refund him to get him off your back and tell him that he can block all the followers one by one.

Yes I can see the Twitter police kicking your door down very soon. My advice is go on the run and hide out.

I find a lot of people from the US say that, "I am going to sue you", blah blah blah, rather than look into all the info again to make sure they know what they are upset about in the first place. And no, I am not saying ALL Americans do this, but from the people I see, it mostly comes from there.

So, it's most likely nothing. Let it pass.

There is nothing to worry about. I don't see any reason why the USA police will go all the way to an european country just for some fake twitter followers.

    Tell your customer to GTFO.

Leave him alone. Just make sure that your website has a TOS saying that they are fake followers and you are good to go. There is nothing a lawyer can do if it's clearly stated in the TOS.

I feel your pain. (Diplomacy over)

I'm not being funny here but no wonder people don't think very highly of people in the im industry.

Your a social media pro, does that mean you have years of experience in social media? Does that mean you have learned the system mastered the idiosyncrasies, and built strong lasting business relationships and now feel able to strengthen other people's business by selling your experience?

No it simply means you can google fiver, not have a clue what happens once you have pulled the trigger on someone else's business.

I'm not trying to be judgemental here, but I get the feeling Americans try to sue each other whenever they can...(probably has to do with the fact that you CAN pretty much sue anyone for anything, even if it's their own fault)

Nevertheless, OP, I am pretty sure you can go to bed without fearing the cops will be at your door step the next day.
Btw, I don't know where you are in Europe, but usually you get a nice letter first - which in your case, you definitely won't ;)
(in my country the cops aren't even allowed to enter your house, so...)

Seriously can you imagine what kind of reception he'll get at the Police station?

They're investigating a rape, burglaries, car theft, assaults, fraud, and maybe even a murder, and in comes some twonk wanting them to investigate fake twitter followers?

LoL I think they'll show him the door pretty quickly.

In any case it'd be a civil matter not a criminal matter.

You didn't say how much money was involved? $15, $50, $5k (now that would be real absurd!)...??

There is someone selling 10k REAL twittr followers on 5err for $5, and there could be many of those real REAL follower sellers there, lol. Hire him next time :).
