What if the domains have lost the traffic and ranking in Google updates? Still we need to build backlinks on these domains? is it beneficial and helps in ranking?

It depends. If it's not terribly bad at the point of your research, I'd say go for it. With SERP traffic, it's all zigzag movement in organic traffic.

Not so saturated if new domains are ranking and banking on these keywords.

Ahrefs >> Keywords Explorer > " logic puzzles"
Use the filter below ;
In less than 10 seconds, I'm able to find keywords and domains I can piggyback on their keywords. Copy and outrank with better domain authority.
