    Well, I just encountered the "pop up" after few days of no such nonsense. It came up when I was browsing this thread : http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...e/623228-can-relationship-hurt-soul-much.html. I wasn't able to scan the page for a malicious script as just as soon as I had hit the "x" (close) button on the pop-up, it redirected me to the scammy offer. But I was able to scan the redirecting page and found just this.

    Website : freeappleprize.info/rmx/ch/index.php

    Code:
    <script>
     if(self!=top)
     {
     window.open(self.location,'_top');
     }
     </script>

    <script type="text/javascript">
        document.location.href = "http://mpmotrk.com/mt/v274y254b4q233r244z2u2b4/";
    </script>
    which in turn had me redirected to this page : http://mpmotrk.com/mt/v274y254b4q233r244z2u2b4/.
    Sadly though, when I hit the back button, I didn't see the popup nor any unusual script on the thread.

    What came to my mind first when I encountered this was a software on WF that claimed could get 3rd part pop ups on popular websites like CNN etc. I may be crazy but if it does any help...

    If it does any good, a few weeks back, every thread that I opened automatically changed into a page that asked me to install Java. But the sites url's were like this : get-new-java.com/index.php?dv1=glispa%20GmbH, javaupdatecaa.com/download/chrome.php?dv1=Ybrant%20Digital etc. I didn't download anything. Instead, I headed over to the official Java site and checked my version. Sure enough it was outdated but that doesn't mean, they would ask me to update from 3rd party sites. I have screenshots to prove this as well.

    I hope this thread helps the mods to find out which arse is doing this to our forum.

    I've had very similar weird pop ups and banner ads dotted around BHW lately.

    Hopefully it will all be sorted soon. Even after moving to DDOS protected servers I had a Gateway Time out yesterday. BHW seems to be dying with the sudden influx of more members.

    what's with the "no adblock" ?

    also RW that WF plugin doesn't put pop-ups on CNN (roflocopter)...
    it just inserts a copy of the page you want (ie: CNN.com) into an iframe on your website
    so when you promote it on FB with an URL shrtnr it will look just like CNN
    people will click it and BOOM! CNN just recommended you to see how some douchebag got 9" in girth in just 7 days

    Ah I see. I usually hit the close button when I see a WSO but this one seemed interesting named "Click Jacker 3.0". So I just had to read the headline. They always have a catch! I wondered how those guys could come up with something brilliant.
    Thanks

    I saw it too and thought it might be worth investigating. Should have known better. Usual WSO nonsense.

    There are so many scripts running on BHW. I use noscript to get rid of all of them, as well as adblock

    Have also had the java install warning while browsing this forum one time. Also I believe this to be one of the worst converting websites for such bullshit iPhone offers and surveys.. Awesome job targeting the right audience whoever is doing it.
