GSC linking sites

Hey guys, I'm setting up a new auction domain for a money site. Added it to GSC 3 days ago, obviously everything said check back in a few days. Now under the links section for Top linking sites I don't see anything at all. It just says 'No Data'. Does it take a while for the backlinks to populate? or is it instant?

I have set the site up as https://, the links are from when the site was http://, some are to www and some to non www. Do I have to do the 301 to https:// URL before the links start showing?

It definitely takes a while.
Sometimes it's taken over a week for me.
It's likely it will take at least a few days.

By the way, if you're running Wordpress then I imagine you already have those redirections in place.
You can go ahead and try them.

For example, if your default website URL is https: supercutecats.com then you can simply type in https:www. supercutecats.com or http: supercatecats.com or whatever, and they should all redirect to https: supercutecats.com
If they don't, then you may have a problem, but I imagine it's already setup.
(obviously fix the urls)

Yeah it is redirecting by default I tested it earlier, if that is the case, I do not have to edit the htaccess file then? I was just reading the ahrefs blog and tried http:// but it automatically went to my site.

I still need to redirect example.com to www.example.com though right?

As long as they are redirecting to your default URL then you are good to go.

You said it was https://

So that is what the rest should be redirecting to.
