Just curious to know... how many campaigns do you add and run them at once in GSA SER? I ran 3 campaigns at once but I don't know if that's efficient or inefficient usage of resources (I run GSA 24/7 for nearly 2-weeks now).
I've been using GSA for only a few days so I have only 2-3 campaigns running at the same time. But I think if your internet is fast enough, you can go as many campaigns as you want by increasing the number of threads.
Someone in the offer page was shared that runs 22 campains at the same time (on VPS) - I think up to 10 is good as I ran 3-5 at same time without having any resource or conectivity issues.
You can run 100s of campains too. Just make a list beforehand for each platform you are planning to submitting to and make use of Pause submission feature. This will enable give importance to each project. If you dont make a list then GSA will take hell lot of a time to scrape and I dont think it will work better with lots of campaigns..
I realize this is an old thread, but I was wondering the same thing. Isn't it more about the threads you are running and less about the number of projects?
Hey bro, don't worry about how many campaigns you have. It is the amount of threads that you allow in GSA. For example, if you have 10 campaigns and you only set at 200 threads to be runned; GSA will divide them (according to priority and if all is in default priority) to 20 threads for each campaign. Regardless, you won't feel the lag or whatsoever.
What hosting and how powerful is the VPS that others are using? I have the quad core VPS at berman hosting. At first it was doing 120 threads no problem, after adding 30 projects I had to drop it down to 80. It's still struggling at that. Stutters all the time and constantly uses 100% of the cpu. I might have to think about changing host if others are doing 200 threads!
I never like Bermanhosting. I have no fucking idea why so many people recommend them till today. I signed up for their best VPS a year ago and their internet was SO FUCKING SLOW!!! I opened many support tickets asking for help and they just said, "Our internet is fast... so might be your software prob" and just ignored me afterwards. I ran scrapebox for 2 days straight and only 20000 comments were posted. Whereas when I use scrapebox at my home (with only 30mbps internet speed); I could get 100,000 comments posted in that 2 days time. Bermanhosting is a joke. Not to mention their irritating suspensions when you're caught spamming. I recommend this VPS provider instead: Code: http://bit.ly/BestCheapVPS I owned 11 of the Pro Tier (check out spects at Order page) which only has duo processor and 4GB of RAM; but it is running GSA smoothly and awesomely.
I am still a newbie in GSA, but I am wondering if its really necessary to rent a VPS for this. I understand people who have dozen of campaigns might find it beneficial but for regular users with only 5-6 (ok fine, 10 max).. is that really necessary? Would it be wise to run locally on my home desktop with unlimited bandwidth + proxies?
Well, if you're gonna run GSA SER at your home desktop... it's gonna eat a lot of your internet speed. This might affect you when you're doing your other IM Stuffs. A VPS, on the other hand, has a fast internet connection. You just import your campaigns and click the "start" button... just let it run 24/7. No worries of internet disconnection or power outage.
Well what is the success rate of social bookmarks using GSA does it consumes lot of captchas i am interested in that soft..
Sorry, i am not too experienced with GSA yet, but what do you mean by 'import'? What can I import into it? From my understanding, i thought we just create a campaign directly on GSA and configure it from there? such as adding keywords, putting in description and stuff?
