I've bought full version and installed it on VPS. After that I copied project from my own computer where I was testing software. For some reason now it's not checking PR for links (I tried to change settings several times - run/stop project etc., but still) and keep posting to PR0 websites. Other checks (bad words, outgoing links etc.) is working, only PR is not checking. Last version installed. What is the problem and how I can fix it?

Update: I found problem, it can't check PR - all PR is unknown. I'm using proxies from squidproxies - how can I fix this problem?

So far the program is running pretty well for me.

Is there a master file for the blocked words to skip sites/URLs? I want to add the ones I always block so I don't have to import them every time.

Yes, you could do that, and test the spintax using: Project Data > Data > Test > Test again.

It's pretty intuitive, but basics are if you Run an 'Active' project, it's row colour goes from grey to green. Status column goes to orange if Searching for URL targets, and blue when verifying URLs.

Try checking that the PR checking still works on your own computer. Try using a different private proxy provider, e.g. buy proxies.

It should save the words and URLs you add in the 2 'Skip sites' sections, but you can also manually add them:
    1. Shutdown GSA SER. In Win Explorer type %APPDATA% to goto the default applications folder or typically:
    C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\GSA-SER\projects.
    2. In Notepad open the relevant project file: MyProjectName.prj
    3. In the [Options] section, you can add to the "skip content list" and the "skip url content list" as required.
    4. Save file. Run GSA SER.

Thanks I'll take a look at it but is that on a project by project basis? It doesn't save any of the words that I add in the software manually except for that specific project. I have to import the words each time I create a new project. I want to save it for all projects.

Thanks for the help answering the questions brotha. :)

Update for today in case anyone hasn't updated yet:

4.03 - new: social bookmark engine "Public Bookmark" written by Holger Lenzdorf
    - new: category query boxes will no longer close after 30 seconds if you clicked
    on the button
    - new: ability to import keywords from project popup menu
    - new: you can now add the same URL more than once in the project URL box.
This is good if you want to give it the chance to use one URL more
than others when choosing one randomly before the submission.

Yes, the bad words/URLs data (and the .prj files) are project specific. There's currently no global bad words/URLs list that I'm aware of.
(However, the global "Options" apply to all projects, and does have a Filter option for malaware type URL's, which can be edited).

A quick solution if you want to replicate a bad words/bad URLs in a new project, is to create a generic 'template' project, i.e. it has the bad words/bad URLs and any other generic options you'll need for your new project, and save this as a MyProjectTemplate.ser file (Modify Project > Backup), then open this file when you're creating a new project (Modify Project > Restore).

There's got to be a file somewhere though, I just haven't looked, because it has a built in list of words like: akismet, comment will moderated, the comments are moderated, etc.

The lights can be useful to make sure your project is running properly or seeing what process its doing. Sven has said that the colors don't require any extra CPU then what the software was already using before.

    Hi everyone,

Do you know how can I tweak GSA in such a way that it can work in Spanish? There are 2 problems from what I understand:

    1) The footprints need to be in Spanish - say I have the footprints, how can I use GSA to use only these Spanish footprints when it searches the web with the KWs I've uploaded to it? (now it searches for the English inbuilt footprints)

    2) When GSA verifies the engines (platforms) - does it look only for footprints in the HTML that are global, such as "content="Wordpress", or that it also looks for the field label name?

So basically, if some of you are using GSA for sites that non-English, I would very much appreciate your help and tips on how to do it properly.

    Thanks in advance,

    UK

Sorry if this has been addressed previously in the thread... but it's now 60 pages long and I haven't been able to read all of it.

I have been using the software for about 2 weeks with very positive results. But for a particular project with over 1,000 keywords, it seems that it has run out of pages to post to. The submit rate has decreased significantly.

I would like to know where I could get a list of footprints the software uses that I can work with in Scrapebox. This way I could scrape on one end, and post with SER on the other. This would be more efficient. The software would not spend so much time scraping and checking PR if I can do that manually in another program.

As always, appreciate your prompt assistance.

To use specific Spanish platforms you will need to define an engine. For more info., see: GSA > Help > View Script Manual.

Also, the developer will be releasing a platform trainer 'soon', so you can train GSA for any Spanish platform that you want.

Yes. An easier option is to just RMC in the Search engines box and select : Check By Country > UK.

    > GSA > Options > Advanced > Search online for URLs > Add predefined footprints > [Select Platform(s)]
It should do that at the end of the day.
