Hey guys, fairly new to Affiliate Marketing, but I've had some success ranking my promo sites over the course of 1 month or more.

This time I'm being ambitious though and I decided to promote a product that was coming out in only 6 days (now 4) and I just started building 3 Tiered backlinks with GSA today. I have a SERlist that I'm confident in, and I'm running up to 180 threads at a time.

    But my question is this:

If I want to rank for a short period of time (churn and burn) and definitely rank on the day of product launch, should I just keep GSA running non-stop for the next 4 days as I've done all day today?

Or should I slow my roll, since these are websites and not Youtube videos?

On a site note, I actually created 2 websites for the same product promo and they are both loaded into my campaign. The other one is a Wordpress.com blog. I have a strange feeling the Wordpress.com blog will handle this GSA blast better than my new domain. At the very least, this could be an interesting case study :)

Always GSA running as fast as you can, if you find yourself pushing too many links in tier 1 then just push more into tier 2 /3

I'm not sure if you're asking about parasite seo or churn and burn - I think you might have gotten the two techniques kinda muddles up?

It'll be very difficult to target that specific day. Google do everything in their power so you can't control timing (they force you to buy adword$$$ for the specific date). They skew dates, provide outdated data on webmaster stools, and so on - they don't want SEO being effective for specific dates.

Maybe both? If I'm not mistaken Churn and Burn involves ranking from a surge of backlinks until you are penalized for it (which is my 'productnamereview.com' site)? And Parasite SEO - which I've never actually researched - I thought involved ranking Web 2.0 sites so that would qualify my Wordpress.com site that is also plugged in to my GSA campaign.

Well guys...for what its worth... I'm ranking #6 for this product with the simple method I mentioned in the OP. The goal is for my site to continue ranking like this (or even higher) through 7/4. But I'm still paranoid that I'll get penalized between now and 7/4 because on launch day there will be so much activity in the search engines for this product.

Remember that I only care about ranking for the first 1-2 weeks after launch date since that's when the vast majority of sales will take place. Whatever happens after that...... doesn't matter too much for me.

Side note: I made a 10-minute Youtube video for the same product and tried the "YouTube Ranking Glitch" method which has me sitting at #2 in the YouTube search results for "product name". No backlinks either. I can explain this method to anyone interested, but in a nutshell, you are uploading a video as Unlisted, purchasing 400+ views and 40+ likes, and then making your video go "Live" when the views and likes are in. Now the search engines think your video accumulated 400+ views and 40+ likes in seconds.

Anyway, I think my only question at this point is:

Do I keep running this GSA campaign for 24 hours a day (give or take number of threads which I fluctuate throughout the day depending on if i'm at my PC)? At what point am I building "too many" links at Tier 1? Not concerned with Tier 2 and Tier 3, but I heard you have to be careful with Tier 1 and I have no idea how to gauge when its "too much".

To put it in perspective what is going on here... I have Google Alerts set up to show me all new links related to the name of this product, and a lot of those links are going to articles that GSA created for my site! Lol...

you know the profit no's. I suggest do more 2 or 3 sites, and do different No of GSR blast to all and secure different positions on 1st page :)

You can also try building just contextual links for tier1 and then build all kind of links as tier2 then see if you can rank.
I think you should at least need 10days to rank for a brand new website.
I have done the same before successfully, we can talk in private if needed.

As is the case with all SEO you just have to test it. You can't depend on one product launch and organic rankings for your income, that's a sure way to end up broke. You need a repeatable strategy, so use this as a test regarding what may or may not work. And if you're smart start testing 5 sites with 5 link building methods at a time to see what really works best now.

I'd love to test 5 sites and 5 link building methods. Originally I planned on doing 3 promo's simultaneously, but then reality set in... I have a full-time job :(

BUT I am leaving that full-time job in October for full-time Internet Marketing, and then I can do all the testing my heart desires.

But for now, I'm just trying to make the most of my time. It's inevitable that some things I have planned will not pan out, but this experience in itself is a test.

Last time I was able to rank on Page 1 and #1 on Youtube with mostly PBN links. This time I'm using a different method and I'm also testing Web 2.0 review sites. I'm also working on list building. So each time I do switch it up and try something new, but the extent at which I'm able to do that is limited.

Actually I have a journey going on right here at BHW too :) http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...0-quit-my-day-job-after-7-years-time-now.html

Got a 4 day weekend coming up which is a rare treat for me and some serious plans for that (all work related)
