    Hey Guys,

Long time BHW reader, first time poster here.

I recently started an e-cigarette liquid company that manufactures a uniquely new type of e-cigarette liquid. Almost all of the e-cigarette liquids currently available on the market utilize nicotine in some form to give users a buzz. However, my e-cigarette liquid does not contain nicotine, but instead uses a blend of all natural herbal extracts to produce a euphoric buzz that nicotine does not provide. I have gone as far as acquiring a patent for the entire manufacturing process and final product.

This is a massive market, and a proven product. I am currently exploring different avenues to market this product online and get it out into the hands of people around the world. As such, I was hoping someone could provide advice/tips regarding a few lingering questions that I have had:

    • One of the more intriguing ideas that I have come across (for the purposes of marketing this product) is to establish an affiliate marketing program. Is there any precedent for e-cigarette liquid companies having successfully employed affiliate marketing to market their product?
      • What would be an ideal way to structure such an affiliate program (that would attract a lot of affiliate marketers, perhaps like yourselves) ?

    • Have you participated in an affiliate marketing program in the past that involved a tangible product (such as e-cigarette liquid) ? If so, how was it structured? If you could participate in a similar program in the future, would you prefer it be structured any differently?
    • What are some additional channels through which such a product can be marketed online?

    Regards,
    Nick D.

Massive market that will tank shortly.

Non FDA approvals have everyone up in arms over vaping. There are very generic studies that show e-vape products have many more cancer causing ingredients that real cigarettes....although we can not go off that study until it is proven, many people are already skeptic of this new trend.

Where I live, Green Bay, WI bars and public places have already banned these which caused 3 vape shops to go under already and the 3 that are still around seen sales decrease by 30% in 2 months.

Good luck with your product and make hay while the sun shines b/c shortly this will be a lost market; if/when it passes the FDA approval, the guidlines will be so strict only lager companies will be able to produce the liquid and most of their profits will be lost to government mandated taxes.

Do I agree with any of this? No because i use the e-vape and love it but i can see the trends plain as day....

I agree with rjd, the boom was some time ago. You still have market but like rjd say is decreasing. If you are in the start maybe you should rethink if is worth and try to predict it 1 or 2 years ahead

Our product is different from the typical e-liquids. We are the only e-liquid of our kind, as our liquid does not contain nicotine (or any other chemicals).Ourproduct is not defined as a tobacco product (it only has a herbal blend with vaporizing solution),even though it gives you a euphoric head buzz that nicotine does not provide. We effectively skirt regulations for the e-cig industry this way. We are required to pay a tax for the simple fact of it being an e-liquid, but we are not regulated under the same laws as the rest of the nicotine e-liquids. So, bottom line this is not meant to compete with other nicotine e liquids. This is a new market. That being said, our product is completely safe. As far as hidden carcinogens released and inhaled during vaping, studies recently published have shown that vaping two unnamed nicotine-liquid at higher voltages can increase these, but they also recognize that at a lower voltage these carcinogens were basically nonexistent.

Theres a lot of propaganda, lobbying, and other general types of misinformation sponsored mainly by big tobacco companies who sponsor, lobby, and fund research programs and other venues to support their agenda in trying to shut down the e cig/vapor industry. This is no different from big tobacco claiming cigarettes were healthy in the1950s through sponsoring their own research studies.I'm not here to debate minor points on e-cig studies,or get dragged into a discussion regarding the merits of the e-cig industry, I'm just here to get advice and information for our Internet marketing and SEO strategies. I appreciate the advice rjd and tvm but I am inthis for the long haul. We're moving very fast and have secured many retail stores, regional, and national distribution, without a website(should be done tomorrow, will post link). Any advice on SEO,Internet marketing, or affiliate programs would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Nick.

This whole post is bollox lol. There are no studies showing they have more 'cancer causing ingredients'. If you're refering to the recent studies then they're putting high voltage batteries with low ohm coils. This never happens in real life as it tastes burnt lol. If you want to vape burning metal coils I'm sure its not good for you.

Completely disagree they'll make it illegal worldwide, maybe in America as you have some silly laws. I know in the UK they have issues with their 'war on drugs' and won't want to create another great big black hole seeing as a years worth of e liquid can be bought for like £100 anyway
