Hello everybody! Today I would like to talk about growing YouTube channels.

I have a legit YouTube account that I post vlogs on (not going to post name) and it has around 2.9k real active subscribers right now. I started my channel in August so I think it's doing pretty decent.

I used to use TubeToolBox but realized it was a waste of money. I then tried comment spamming and upvoting and got tremendous results. There was a period where I gained anywhere between 60 and 500 subs a day. Of course, knowing my luck, just as I started doing this Google decided to screw me over and get rid of top comments.

I am now either losing subscribers or having no change, but rarely gaining. This is because I make vlogs, and the titles of the videos are usually one word so nobody would really be searching for it.

Anyways, I am open to any BlackHat or Whitehat or whatever hat methods that you guys have to grow a channel. I am just desperate for REAL subscribers and its just painful to have my channel do so poorly right now. I had a plan to create tons of twitter accounts, bot them to a few thousand followers each and spam those 200k+ followers with my channel but I had people tell me it wouldn't work because most users are mobile and use the Twitter video viewer so they wouldn't subscribe. So I'm trying to think of methods but I'm pretty lost.

I really hope someone can help me out here. Once again, I am open to ALL AND ANY METHODS! Thank you <3

Try to optimize your titles and descriptions. Using one word does not make it show up for that keyword at the top. If anything, you should target multiple keywords. You can also get some cheap SEO packages to spread around your videos, to rank them higher.

Just remember if you choose to buy subscribers to improve the visibility of your channel, make sure you note down how many you bought. That way you won't fool yourself down the line thinking you have x amount of subscribers but are only seeing x amount of activity on your newly uploaded videos.

I'm a fellow YouTuber. I only have around 700+ subscribers but I could "like" a few of your videos to give them a little boost, and get them some new views.

Also buy some retention views on the videos that are bringing in the most amount of views. This'll bring additional views, continually.

I've heard that building backlinks can help also.

With that amount of subscribers, I do not think OP should risk giving out his channel for ~10 views at most.

Understandable, but honestly just trying to be nice. The point I really wanted to make though, is getting GENUINE likes from real YouTubers is a great way to increase your fan base. A lot of Big YouTubers get paid major cash just for liking a channels newest video. If you could contact some smaller ones in your niche OP, you could trade likes. (You like one of theirs, they like one of yours.)

Thank you for the suggestion! However, I want to make sure that all of my views and subs are real! And I get plenty of likes but once again thank you!

Thank you! The problem is that they are vlogs, and the title is relevant to the topic of the video. Honestly nobody would search for the title even if I optimized it. The titles are similar to that of vloggers such as Connor Franta, Joey Graceffa etc. I'm not sure how they got big as their videos have always had vague titles like that, but it worked somehow lol. Thank you again!

Thank you for the offer! Like WoozyBluff said, I really do not want to risk my channel but thank you so much! All of my views, subs and likes are genuine, and while my methods to get those views subs and likes may not be legit, they are all legit and real people which is great. Pretty much what I want is a non legit (or legit) way to attract attention to my videos. So many of my subscribers believe that I will get big, but I doubt them because I have no way to get myself out there and seen. But yes, thank you! :)

First of all, the vlogs those YouTube stars do are a bit secondary; meaning that they make larger videos, then the vlogs are just kinda everyday updates. If you were spending a day at the water park, just don't name it 'Vlog #123'. You should think of creative things, such as 'Vlog #123 - Fun at the water park adventure course in X-LOCATION'. This way, people interested in the water park in the X-LOCATION will see your vlog.

Lool noo I don't do that type of vlog. By vlog I mean like talking about a topic, similar to Danisnotonfire's videos. Not daily vlogs haha. Thank you for the advice anyways though!

You should collaborate with other famous youtubers to expose your channel even more.

    Just a thought. :p

Haha if I could trust me I would collab with so many people! But I'm Canadian and only 15 so I don't think anyone would want to :(

    Hello OP :)

well I did similar stuff myself and the advice I can give so far is:

    - use annotations or in-video texts to call viewers to action to subscribe like "please subscribe my channel"
    - optimize your titles to be related to your niche and also try to use catchy titles in order to attract more clicks and views on YouTube itself
    - try to use additional promotion like view services and ordering other social indicators for your videos: video likes, favorites etc. this can help to go viral (based on your budget), I advice for no PPD stuff to go steady everyday in order to keep videos popular
    - try to build a brand around your channel by using Facebook fanpage, Twitter account, Vine account the right way by publishing your videos there and interacting with your subscribers, try to by real facebook likes in order to speed up the promotion on the other websites also
    - try to post your videos yourself to reddit, tapiture, break or other video featuring websites
    - link all your social media profiles in your video descriptions and make in your vlogs aware people shouldn't miss follow you there also

Once you are able to build multiple channels for your videos to be presented to interested views like subscribers and Facebook fans you are literally have a money making machine since you just need to upload a video, get the message to your fanbase and watch the view count and adsense earnings go up.

In my opinion a very solid way to make the long way "whitehead" money if Google don't mess you up by banning for strange reasons your account (you never know) and are able to juicy stuff up with "blackhat" methods.

Thank you for such a detailed response! :)

I am happy to say I am doing pretty much all of the things you are suggesting, which means I'm doing at least something right LOL! I believe the issue with my channel is getting it seen. Once people find it, a lot of them say I'm really funny and see me getting big/going far and it really makes me happy. Pretty much, I have the content required to get big but not the exposure. I like your idea of reddit, but in terms of vlogs reddit is a horrible community to be sharing videos with. The amount of hate I would get would be unbelievable so I think I'm going to stay away from there for the time being.

What I really need is a method that gets me seen by thousands of people. That method was commenting asking people to look at my channel and upvoting it with tons of accounts and replying flattering things with tons of accounts. After that happened, natural upvotes and comments would come in, and I would stay top comment for a very long time (this was the first few days that they introduced Google+). With this I gained up to 500 subs a day, which clearly shows that if I can be found, the subs will just roll in. However, without that exposure, my channel has gone to shit.

Anyways, thank you so much for your reply! :) I will try to do some of the things that you mentioned that I'm not already doing to try and grow! :)

Glad to hear you already using a lot of different communication channels to reach your audience - important part is to take care of your other social profiles by talking to fans and asking for their opinion.

    - some other things that came to my mind which aren't that black hat at all but try to use interesting thumbnail images for your videos to get peoples attention
    - try to partner up with other channel owners and build your contacts

some more "blackhat" stuff would be:

post your videos on related and big facebook fanpages, maybe like them a little bit to gain good exposure (don't overdue because of facebooks spam algos) but you can surely post a good amount everyday. Using the new YouTube comment system which allows posting of links and post good comments on related videos with your video link with in (don't overdue also).

you can use the almost same thing on twitter by using this method http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...easy-simple-method-click-here-make-money.html

It was good until all the youtube updates. I use to get great results from video shares until all the restrictions took place.

You've given the answer yourself. "People don't find my videos because my titles are usually a single word". Just optimize your titles and description and tags so that your ranking improves then boost your videos a little and get the visibility it needs. I don't think you need anything BlackHat at the moment. This should be enough...

The most important thing to do on YouTube is to rank you videos!
To do that you need to seo them correctly. Right title, tags, description, good thumbnail etc.

After that you just buy 200,000+ high retention views (number of views that you need depend on your niche) and you add tons of video likes using sites like addmefast or enhanceviews or just simpley buy them.

    Hope this helped.

All you need is more exposure to more people with good videos. Make good and interesting videos -> Go to your competitor's page with lots of view-> Press CTRL+U ( page source) ->Press ctrl + F and search for this string: 'keyword' -> Copy all the keywords from that tag and make a short description with those keyword, make a good title and use those exact keywords as your tag -> Publish.

Do not buy any views or anything, but advertise on youtube / other sources and try making them viral. One such user I know on youtube is a user named crazyrussianhacker. Check his videos. This guy just trolls around with his crazy science experiments and yet he is one of the best there.

Build engagable content and that will pull more people to your channel subscribing and engaging with your videos.
