An untapped area is question and answers websites. Well kinda untapped.
Forums... article marketing... forum profiles..directory submissions.. blog comments are the usual seo people do for new and old sites.

But i want to make sure you are all using question and answer websites.
    The reason being...

    - Content is relevant to the backlinks
    - High page rank sites
    - Lots of traffic
    - People using question and answers websites can't find their answers on google
    - Once your link is on the site it lasts and brings a constant flow of traffic

These are question and answer websites i found that are general niches... So there should be something for everybody to get you all started!
A good bet would be to search a question.. and see if it ranks high in google... try answer it.. and your link will be ranked high!

I have got best results from blurtit and yahoo answers.

It is tapped, especially yahoo answers, but thanks for the list! These are great for targetted traffic, although I think most will be nofollow so no link juice.

I tried to rank an yahoo answer a month ago... asked a question with keywords, answered for myself, added some backlinks but the answer is still not even indexed. :-(

    Why is that?

I have had some success ranking sites with Q and A links. Mostly I just like them for diversity though.

Buy yourself a LEVEL 2 account. Use proxy, login in with your L2 and answer your question. Should work fine.

untapped? I've been doing it. I'm just able to do it in such a way that the community doesn't report me for it :D thus I don't get in trouble.
