I got this email from munchweb as I am a subscriber and thought I would share it here. It is not selling anything and is very good advice. As 2012 closes, it's time to look ahead to the next 12 months, the next 6 months, the next 3 months, the next few weeks... and decide exactly WHAT you're going to achieve, and how you're going to do it. We don't all have the luxury of free time... Many, I know have 50+ hour per week day jobs, plus families to look after... so building an online business requires that much more dedication. As such, I've laid out a plan for you, and attempted to make it as painless and "max return / minimum effort" as I can... the key is consistency! If there was any real 'secret' to my own success... It would be this: "Make a plan, and follow it through to the end." Pick ONE Goal e.g. Earn $10 per day... Pick ONE Method e.g. Build a video blog on archery... Pick ONE Time Frame e.g. 30 days... Make ONE Promise... "I will do nothing but build my Archery Video Blog for 30 days!" Several years ago I was working between 70-100 hours each week, claiming unemployment benefits and achieving very little. Today, I could do what took me two years in just a few weeks, while working less and earning more. It's this process that I want to share with you as a treasured Munchweb Subscriber. So do this today... Set your goal, make it something small, achievable, but enough for you to know that you've been successful (this whole process is designed to breed success!). For most people, $10 a day fits the bill. Because I promise you... once you're making that $10 a day... growing to $20, $50, even $100 a day will seem like no problem at all. You will have momentum! I want you to succeed, because I know the world will be better for it. I want to help you succeed, because I know how tough it is when you're doing it alone. I want 2013 to be your best yet, where you bear down, focus intensely and FORCE your business to succeed! Battling Human Nature... It's human nature to be drawn to new ideas, new opportunities, the latest technology... anything that might give us an advantage over our peers and competitors. This drive is good, because it breeds creativity, progression and evolution... but it can also hold us back if we fail to harness our natural curiosity so that we can build our foundations. Success in our business requires discipline and self-control. It requires the ability to say 'NO!' to new ideas at times and stick to the basics. Another Trait Of Human Nature Is Fear Of Loss. We don't want to risk losing anything we already have and worked hard to get... We don't want to risk missing out on an advantage we might be able to use 6 months down the line... We don't want to risk losing time and money on something that isn't guaranteed to work. But by nature of being online... there will be NO SHORTAGE of opportunity. And by nature of being online... there will NEVER be a minute you can spend building your business that'll be wasted. It's the best way to learn and can only have positive results in the end. So take an hour, or even just 30 minutes to make your plan for 2013: Set your goal... Select your method... Establish your time-frame... Make your promise! But What Method? The best method for you will be one you'll have the easiest time sticking to for 30 days. You may already have a certain amount of knowledge built up, even if it's just the basics. The basics are all that matter in the beginning, because then you have something that the Advanced Stuff can actually work on further down the line! If you know a bit about SEO, then build a blog... If you're a decent writer, consider building a list and going the email marketing route... If you're a talented web designer, build up your portfolio and go scouting for clients... If you know a bit about paid traffic, then maybe CPA could be your thing... If you have a certain passion and a thing for networking, maybe building a Facebook Fan Page is the way forward for you... The chances are you'll already know what you want to do... and if you don't, just jump on a forum and ask for suggestions. Even ask for a great resource that'll teach you the basics and get you started (I try to provide you with as much of this as I can!) Worried about competition? Don't be... because 95-99% of people trying to 'make it' online ignore the basics, and expect the 'Big Break' without the initial work and building a solid foundation, or simply move on to something else before they've reached the tipping point, which may have only been another day away! Your New Daily Schedule! So if you aren't already making progress, here's what I suggest... Follow my advice in this email... choose your target, method and time-frame, and make yourself the promise you'll stick with it for that amount of time before even CONSIDERING a different route or opportunity. Then set your schedule... Every day, assign yourself specific and achievable TASKS that will be conducive to building and developing your business. Don't worry about time spent working! Make it about Tasks... not Time! For Example: Write a new article every day... Build a new CPA campaign every day... Make 3 new Facebook Posts every day... And if your project is a little more expansive, then perhaps a Weekly Plan would be necessary... Mon - Buy Domain And Set Up Hosting... Tues - On Site SEO... Wed - Research Article Content For The Week... Thurs - Write First Article... Fri - Write 2x Articles... Sat - Look For Fellow Bloggers To Guest Post For... Sun - Research Article Content For The Week... Once you know your method, you'll be able to figure out quickly what steps you need to take each day. And if you don't, ask for help! The cool thing about our industry and lifestyle is that it's full of awesome people who are happy to share their success with others. Just ask ONE specific question, get ONE good answer, show your gratitude, and get right back to your plan. Success is waiting for you just around the corner... do what 99% of the population never will. Stick To The Plan... Fulfill Your Promise.
