    Hey Folks,

I need a little advise here, So I have a site that doesn't really make much but I don't want to loose it either. It is built around the niche which is about one of the Amazon's products, it's like a hack of this product (Well that's the most accurate description I could think of lol).

Domain name has trademark "Amazon" included in it and today I got email from hostmaster@amazon.com asking for the domain transfer (They even offered to reimburse the domain name price lol) and they gave me 10 days to transfer the domain to them..

I'm a 16 years old living in a very little 3rd world country, What would you huys advise to me? As I said I'd like to keep this domain as it was making some money and I need to work on it a little more to get it back to where it was before.

P.S. I also have a few other such type of sites that have other company's trademarks in the domain name, What is the best way for me now to get my ass covered from them? :)

There is nothing to do. They have power man. You could redirect the site to new domain of yours with another name if they accept.

Either you give it to them or not they will still get it.All they have to do is send an e-mail to godaddy or wherever your domain is and they get it.Easy as that.I don't know why you registered such a blatant trademark in the 1st place

Yeah, focus you time on another project. You should be happy they offered to reimburse your loss. That is rarely seen.

You would be further ahead cooperating with them, then fighting against them in this case.

    Best of luck!

it's not much you can do in such case, it's like blowing against the wind, no matter how much efforts you put the outcome is the same.

Amazon has their own dedicated lawyer and brand ownership expert that can beat you and get your domain name.
Try to negotiate by explaining how much your website is worth and explore the possibility to get more than domain name registration's reimbursement.
It's lesson learn to not register domain name contains big brand or something, they'll just find it somehow.

Unless the TLD is for a country where they have a trademark on the Amazon term I'd move the domain to a local registrar and tell them to fuck off. But from your description they have you bang to rights so just ask them to apply a lubricant and go gently while they do their business.

Move the registrar to a offshore registrar which have their own lawyers. Find a good offshore registrar which offers legal support too.

or more better, give them your domain and settle it.

You need to take the deal. Try to see if you can negotiate with them on price so that you can make a little profit, but if you don't give it to them they will seize it without compensation.

If you registered it offshore when/if you loose the case that domain will not show up in any country where Amazon registered it's brand.

Put the same teaser on many social networking sites and ask the readers to read about it on your other CPA/AMAZ/etc money site... get traffic and hope that some of them buy something. You can give the domain within the next hour to Amaz if you wish so. It has paid you back more than it would have otherwise. HTH. :)

Disclaimer: You should get proper legal advice though.

So you are committing an obvious trademark violation and now you tell them how much you have earned from it. Clever lad.
