    Hi there,

I got an email complaining about trademark infringement from quite a large company - I was using one of their trademarks in my domain and supplying copyrighted content, so fair enough....

They've demanded that I remove use of their trademark etc and naturally I've got rid of the site immediately to fulfil that, but they've also said that I should transfer the domain to them.

I just wondered if there is any way to do this whilst retaining my anonymity? And also, is it a big deal? I just don't want to risk giving my identity away in transferring the domain to them and don't see what the issue is since I've deleted the site anyway.

    Thanks :)

Keep playing the good guy. Say that registrar does not allow for domain transfers within the first 48 months of registration (ToS). Can maybe settle to lease for [whatever your site was making] / month. Also if you're skilled enough you can ask for employment?

That sound fishy. Usually they tell you to just remove the domain completely by dropping the hosting, but they want to take your domain and the profits it makes, maybe this is a scam. Are you sure the email is legit?
