my website got a "thin content" penalty, anyone have experience to remove the penalty? the website has about 60 posts, 10 of them are "how to do something"

You mentioned on your other thread today that your "contents are good". Well, that's clearly not the case. Is it easy to fix? Depends. Make your site something genuinely useful and worthwhile. You'll know whether it's crap or not. It appears Google's already told you what they think of it.

Seems I should give up that site, the site has some "how to" articles, so I don't think it's thin

Mate, just because your site has some "how to" articles, doesn't mean they're not 'thin' and don't suck. Your opinion doesn't matter, Google has already said it sucks, so you need to figure out what you're doing wrong and make amends. You don't necessarily need to give up on the site, but it's pretty clear you need some direction regarding content. Read this.

Ur penalized because of ur pbn. Its not about thin content. My sites got hit with same reason, a year ago. They're penalizing pbn sites with thin content reason.

I‘m afraid this is the truth

if pbns are indexed, add couple of pbns to gwt, there should be manual unnatural outbound links penalty, if not, you got penalty because of overdosed affilate links, you have only 10 posts without links, they should be much more!

It's not easy to get google to remove the penlty. I had a few site with "thin content penalty" as well a month back or so. What i did with one site which had a clean backlink profile was removed all aff links and asked for a reconsideration but it didnt pass.

With another site, I bought a new domain and moved all content to the new domain and its been a month now and not a single keyword is ranking so you can probably not use your old content either if you go for a new domain.

How many words of content? KW optimized? LSI rich? How many pages is your website ?

1. Reduce keyword density.
2. Increase word count with unique content not just filler content. I have sites with all 1000 words article actually providing information and it has never got those.
3. Make sure you create interactive content rather then just for bots. I know this is common advice but it works.

It's the links you get a penalty for not the content. All my websites that got a penalty was because of one website that had links from ONE service I bought from here and google penalize them all because they where on the same GWT account.

Ive got lots of websites Ive had for years that have really shitty content with aff links on every page without any "how to's" and they have never got a penalty. So its all about the links.

I've seen this penalty used a lot and sometimes it seems like they just hit people with it who don't even have content issues. Its almost as if Google only chooses to get picky with you if you look suspicious link-wise. Be sure you don't have any doorway pages, and if you are running affiliate crap be sure the content is made original.

that's what I'm afraid of, because "thin content" is too personal subjectivity,so I'm afraid it's links problem, but Google use another way to punish you

The "Thin Content" penalty is usually a link penalty. You said in your other post you use a PBN, so I'm 99% sure this is the issue.

If the site is disposable you're better off just starting over on a new domain. Just transfer the content to the new domain and you're good to go.

If the site is not disposable, then you need to remove all your pbn links and submit a reconsideration request.

the site is still indexed, I will try your method

i also got THIN CONTENT penalty few months ago , a total of 8 websites got hit all of them were on single Google Webmaster Tools account :( .

I was able to REVOKE the penalty for only one site , that too after removing couple of posts, removing all outgoing links from some of posts, although the site got revoked, the rankings went down for high search keywords & so the revenue .

It's a huge loss for me , i still don't find any method / ways to get rid of these penalty , i lost my hope & now working on brand new sites .
