I cannot believe how bullshit google, today I got hit by a manual action spam and it was on the white hat site of mine. It was only 2 weeks old but everyday I was updating tons of content.

The worst part is for these terms the first two pages are filled autobots websites. So you can imagine, I am 100% sure its a competitor.

So in my reconsideration I am going to mention all the autobot websites. Any other tips when sending reconsideration?

Just tell them you're providing helpful content to the readers and that you provide way more and better info than anyone in the first page for those terms and have no idea what's wrong with your site

From my past experience, when sending a reconsideration request, be as lenghty as possible.

If you write a reconsideration request just stating 1/2/3 facts or whatever, you probably won't go far.

Try to write as much as possible about your actions, your website, what you think may be suspicious ( competitors as you already mentioned ) and all that.

Since there's going to be a person reading your request and not a Google bot, you have to "impress" them.

And yea of course, check if your articles aren't too "small" and are actually helpful and in proper english etc

If I were you, I will challenge Google to check top 20 website on the search result and compare those sites quality with yours. If they think your website doesn't deserve on Top 20 of search result, they can even remove your site from their index.

If possible, dont forget to include the website URLs which you believe they're autobot/agc/autoblog.
You don't even need to make any changes if you believe your site has that high quality

I also had a similar situation in past when a website with 0 backlinks and content written by experts was hit by penalty while my other websites that were spammed to death and used spun content ranked well. Oh Google....Google...

How did you lift the ban?

And what was the reason for the penalty? Manual action?

Google also could penalize an account if they have lots of website properties in one account. That happened to a lot of SEOs that I talk with, because they even banned websites that weren't doing any SEO at all, but they were banned all together.

Probably the guy/girl behind the desk, was just lazy to figure out if all of the websites were spammed/using black hat techniques, and took a manual action on all of them.
