So I got hit pretty heavy with a neg SEO campaign. I was ranking #1 in a highly competitive market then saw the backlinks coming in by the thousands. They were all SAPE looking backlinks but on Vietnamese and Korean websites. Has anyone heard of anything like this? I'm pretty sure I know who hit me and I'm still contemplating if I want to return the favor. I'll probably just rebuild and do it smarter and better instead of trying to sink some bottom feeder.

    Dont listen to me, but.....

If I knew without a shadow of a doubt who hit me.... I'd return the favor 3x.

Wait till your site burns and give him his links back via 301.

If it is a legitimate business and not a rank&bank project, disavow asap before you get hit.

If not, just do as they told you above. 301 after penalty.

Disavow links in google webmaster tools.
But as matt cutts says, negseo is just a myth. (Lol)

Google wants neg seo to happen, less work for them, since only seo's do neg seo to mostly other seo's

They would have made a way to negate it by now if they wanted it gone

He actually pretty much admits it at this point....pretty much....

He says it is unlikely though but just "in case" here is the disavow tool. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWJUU-g5U_I

I had this happen a few months back, I saw something was up and started disavowing. The site has recovered since. It's hard work and really frustrating but if you can't afford to lose the site, it's best to act quickly.

I did some research and realized the person I thought did it was getting the same type of backlinks. The only difference is they had a old domain name.

So I snagged a nice aged domain. 7 years old, PR4, high PA / DA 500k healthy backlinks. The domain is from a different niche but it's memorable so I think I can make it work.
