    hello,

I just got email that my domain name contains trademarks and that I have to disable the domain otherwise I will be "pursued"

    Check it out:

XXXX stands for domain name and trademark is just first word of the domain name whitch obviously contain word "Facebook"

Should I just throw it in the bin and reply with kiss my *** or remove my site from the web? This web is hosted in USA from these guys poweruphosting.com

If you are using like one part let say trademarkbook, they can kiss your ass. And I actually believe they don't have any ground on your domain, as you register it legally and pay for it.

If you don't use anything facebook copyright in the content, you can tell them to go fuck them self.

That is not a very aggressive trademark infringment letter, the ones I have received are much more intimidating than that.

If it is the real deal, just give the domain up as you won't stand a chance against them in civil litigation. I've gone through that 4 times now and have been around the block enough times to know you don't get a black bear angry when you have no place to run.

My domains were similar... one was androidconnection, a couple of others were large transportation companies with their name in the URL.

They don't care for that... I got attorney letters first and an arbitration letter for the deal with Android in it. I shared a little in a thread I started about the process and situation within the past 6 weeks or so.

I have no idea but I would guess that their trademarks are international and you are still putting yourself in a position to be sued in civil court.

I would suggest that you give up on it.

If they used contact form on website i would just ignore them and pretend that you didn't see it coz it went in spam. Maybe some1 is just mass contacting all websites with trademarked word in it.

If they go through more trouble and contact you through hosting or domain registrar then its probably best to hand the domain over to them.

Change your domain name to fbxxx.com. and don't ever user their logo or something very similar.
