    Hey All,

Obviously someone is unhappy with a new niche site I launched late last week, as on Sunday they hit me with a 32,000 GB DDoS Attack.

Thats right, they downloaded 32,000 GB of data from my server in a couple of hours.

The originating IP was 67.212.163.27 owned by Paul P. from the UK Full details below:

    Code:
    Paul P.
Anyone who has had a similar run in please contact me!

It takes 1 month at 100% load to receive 32000Gb on a 100 mbps server ;)

As you said it was a DDOS attack there are hundreds or thousands of IPs involved in the attack, you just picked out one single ?
ddos always originates from ddos networks (botnets), you can not find out who it was by looking at the IPs.
A simple DoS is another story but if the amount of 32000GB is even near to the real amount it must have been a ddos.

In your case I'd be fast in removing the private information of Paul P. as this guy might sue you for putting his number and data there.

I am aware that a DDoS is run by a BotNet, and I was also able to track down the originating IP by joining the network as a zombie and monitoring incoming traffic for instructions.
