If you have been following my Threads I have been trying to start my own micro job site. I have looked and the top sites thanks to fiverway which have some great info. I got info on some of the sites and contacted the owners about buying their sites. 2 off them responded 1 wanted $10K gigtask PR2 ,384K Alexa site 4 months. I think this is too steep. The owner of Youfiverr is willing to sale his site for $8.5 PR2 and Alexa 390K site is 2 months old. I am not sure if i should start my own or buy a site already ranked. The owner of youfiverr told me he had invested a lot in SEO and his site has plenty of backlink that will show up when google crawls site he had banners and backlinks on and that the site will get even a higher rank in the next few months. The owner of gigtask kinda told me the same mesage about his site. What do you think is a fair amount for these sites and how much should i pay. Bith sites are way over my budget i was willing to spend $3k for an already ranked site like this. Should i just start from scratch ?

Start your own, backlinks mean nothing if there are no targeted keywords.

How much traffic are they getting? Are they generating any revenue?

You can't value a site off PR and Alexa rank.

Like I said in your other thread. Dont waste anymore time and money with these type of sites.

Ask yourself why these people are wanting to sell. Thats the question right there.

There is a new generation of websites under development that will caste aside the existing Micro Job Site this vertical has in many respects become saturated ---- it has too many similar sites - many of these new sites are simply a copy of the market leader

Time to move with the times as the new trendsetters ENTER the Micro Job Site market offering many more NEW services, they will be online trading very soon

I don't know but they must be doing something right to be PR2 in 2 months , from talking to the owner he flips websites and he has shown me a list of very popular sites he has developed. He is a Canadian guy from what I can tell. With the name think about this most fiverr clones has tried to use something from fiverr like fourerr tenrr and so on. Also YouTube there is GodTube is so people recognize the brand I think. Nothing is final yet I have just had 2 email conversations with the site owners. But if something happens I will let you guys be the first to know and hopefully you can support my site, and help develop it. I have done so much research and right now this business model is working I have also thought about starting a freelancing site but it just seems to much of a job and more difficult to make a success of. Again thank you guys for the feedback I am putting a lot of thought into your comments

I can assure you that making reference to PR is at best sales hype - experienced IM folks know that metrics is flawed beyond repair and as for using it has value asset for a site - Forget It!

There are a number of posters on this thread flagging the dangers which is great so this is one more do NOT factor in a low PR to the value of a site

I wouldn't buy anything unless you have what he says here and maybe ask his expert opinion on the sites he knows I promise you that. Its not what you have to pay for something but its how much more are you going to have to spend. Just my 2 cents.

OP - you're clearly in over your head here. YouFiverr or whatever it was is a terrible domain that won't last long. You seem to be dazzled by useless metrics such as page rank which is completely worthless. I have PR0 sites making 15k a month and PR4 sites making $100.

Don't buy that crap OP, if you want PR or Alexa rank then get yourself a domain off godaddy auctions, dp or something.

Is the bell ever going to ring in your head - $1.5k - It is not worth a 'Balloon on a Stick!'

    Add more words

Fiverrway as a URL name is illegal!

Fiverr has sued a number of websites that have produced online scams and schemes that take advantage of its famous brand to trick unsuspecting web users.

According to a legal action filed in NYC this week, the schemes involve "thousands" of websites that claim to offer websites showing users how to make money by working from home on Fiverr.

The site is a fiverr clone. Traffic / page rank / alexa rank don't really have much bearing on it's worth. How many registered buyers and sellers does it have ? How many gigs have been sold through the site ? How much revenue is it generating ?

I don't think it's possible to put a value on a 2 month old site. If a few grand is nothing to you and you don't want the hassle of building your own site then it's up to you.

Personally I would start my own site. There are fiverr clone themes knocking around (might even be a free one in the DL section) I would think of a good name and avoid anything with fiverr in the title...recent examples...seo clerks ,mycheapjobs. £1500 will buy you a world of back links . Buy some software, rent a server and build your own links
