    Hi,

I am new to Cpa and I recently got an email from my manager regarding a supression file they say that I downloaded and did not mail.

I am kinda lost here. Not sure what they think that I did wrong.

    Here is and excerpt-----

We are looking into accounts that downloaded suppression files without mailing anything, because abuse of suppression files is a serious offense so we just want to make sure it was not done with bad intentions.

Any Idea on what this is about, I also got a call from them , but haven't had a chance to call them back.

Is there something that you could do wrong with a supression file?

    Thanks

A suppression list is a list of emails you're not aloud to send too.

Just tell them you're keeping it on file for later use and you don't intend on emailing the list.

just tell them you were checking and comparing the suppression file emails with your own list and removing the common ones.

Strange they called and emailed you about that, how many times did you do that? What you could do wrong with a suppression file is use them as a source to gain email addresses to spam, though I am sure you won't be doing that if you are this riled up about them contacting you :)

Just tell them you were researching offers to promote and decided not to run that particular offer, and thus have no use for using the suppression list.

Thats what I am wondering too.

I asked them what it was that I downloaded.

If I do download it, not intentional. Probably thought that I needed it to see the ads.

    Hopefully all is well.
