    My question is....

I have a squidoo lens that has a PR3. I have a blog that I am trying very hard to get ranked in Google and Yahoo. If I make a link section on my Lens and I link 5 of my blog posts do those all count as backlinks for my overall site? Would that be 5 PR3 backlinks or does only one count since they are all on the same site. Keep in mind all the links are to different blog posts, so none point to the same page on my main blog.

They will count as 5 links to those 5 blog posts, but the links will be devalued a little. Though PR isn't that important anymore, how PR works traditionally is to divide the juice sent to any given page by the number of outbound links on that page. So a PR3 website with 10 outbound links sends out PR3/10 worth of juice to each link. Though this is constantly changing and, as I said before, PR has been devalued in regards to SERPs, this basic idea still stands.

So, if you're trying to get your blog indexed, your best bet might be to just have ONE link to the main page or ONE deep link, doubling or tripling them up might not be as effective and as long as all of the content is linked properly, the spiders will hit all of those pages anyway.

Hope that helps answer your question.
