    Hi,

im new on BHW, and i would like to share my story here.

I just moved to Bangkok with my girlfriend. She started working for a real estate company 6 months ago.

This company started 2 years ago and is earning now 50k+ every month. they have a website online and promote it all over the internet. It is owned by 2 englishman.
They do not have work permit and rights to earn this amount of money here thailand. They are just on a holiday visa in thailand, and earning cash without paying tax.

After working 1 month with them my girl felt like she didnt get enough comission for her work so she asked me to start our own real estate company.

    Now it gets interesting....

One of the Englishman had a thai girlfriend.
The law of thailand says that foreigner can't own anything in thailand except for thai people.
This Englishman asked his thai girlfriend to register his company on her name.
2 months ago they split up.....

Now this thai girlfriend of him is a very close friend of my girl.

and today i got the company's name transfered to me as a gift from her.
So What can i do with it?

i was playing with some options

    1.

contact these englishman and ask for 50'000 dollar and ill give them the company name and right back.

if they dont agree, i just call the police and say they are no rights to use my company's name

    2.

i try to take over the company.

but here, how do i get access to their website? it has the company's name, it has the company's url. but it is hosted on hostgator server, its in the us. there is no thai law ^^

some advice on making money out of this situation? thanks alot! :)

does the who.is info come back to the company? Do you know all of that information? I would say that since.. the domain and hosting is registered to the company you can try to claim it but I think it matters most who the domain is registered to. Who cares about the hosting?

Not a good idea to fuck up with somebody's hardwork. If they are making 50 grand a month, then they must have worked ass off for 2 years. And now when they are on holiday, you are thinking of running away with their work just because the law permits you. Blackhat doesn't means taking advantage of every situation and fuck with someone's hard work. -ve Rep for such an idea. :thumbsdow

I never said I agreed with his particular set of morals in play here.. nothing about the story even makes sense.

However for purposes of education I do not feel that the hosted files are of an importance. It is the domain that is the true value to this operation. Who is the domain registered with ?

That is your method of attack. Getting ownership of the domain transfered to you and only you.

they earning 50K per month, but the domain will not worth 1K..
the thing is, they using website for their business? or it is an offline business?

Here we have companies making more than 100 crores per month from their businesses and some of them have websites collecting dusts.. some even dont have websites.. its all offline businesses..

all you can do is, put the domain on some domain flipping websites and hope for the best.

How about this ... contact them and let them know you are very willing to cooperate with them. Also let them know that you are an expert in SEO/IM and you want to do a JV. If you manage to convince them, you got yourself a legitimate share of a good company while generating lots of goodwill to this two rich people.

Oh you mean hard work, going to a poor country, and hiring staff and paying them peanuts to do all the real grunt work, and on top of that not pay tax?

    That hard work?

I say fuck em, take their shit man.

If they were treating their staff fair from the start, the staff would not have done the transfer ;)

    ------------

Im quite shocked by this statement by the OP:

    :(

So they can only own people, slavery is not cool man!

keep in mind that the owners worked their asses off and have made a lot of money. yea you could say they had it "easy" simply because they hired other people. but you don't consider the fact that they left their home country, set up shop in an entirely foreign place, did hiring, weeded out the best workers, streamlined/tweaked their systems, and scaled up to 50k a month. if you take away all of that from them you'd might need to learn to hide very well. because they will have the funds, means, and motive to do something as revenge.

i dunno, i see them hiring some thai hitmen to deal with you if you blackmail them lol but who knows

U see my friend , 50k/month don't come easy , these guys must have worked their asses off for this , and now you come rip them off ?

Well , whatever you do , make sure that when you wake up the following morning and look at the mirror , you be comfortable with what you did

Because , my friend , Karma is bitch !!

Don't keep this shit , talk to the real owners and figure something out , and I'm sure you won't get out empty handed ;)

+ you have an model of a successful business in your hands , try to study it and go through it history , and start your own thing , You and your GF and her thai friend , you'll learn from the english man mistakes and it will take you less than 2 years to do what they did

Offer someone in immigration an ownership stake if they are deported, then run the company yourself with police protection.

Ya I don't really get all these people talking about Karma etc. The Englishmen do not have a legal right to be operating their business there. They are earning money in an already poor country, and not paying tax on it. I think screwing them over a little for a bit of cash IS the Karma.

I don't know if people actually understand how many people can get hurt by this illegally operated company. There are chain reactions of hundreds of people getting screwed over when offline local businesses operate illegally.

There is a difference when you are making 2k per month through Internet Marketing and don't pay tax on it. You aren't taking the money directly out of the local economy. But because this is a real estate business, the Englishmen are just taking tons of money directly out of the local economy, and not putting it back in properly. This company probably replaced several other smaller companies, which means people were out of work, and have no social benefits available to them because the government doesnt have enough taxes.

I would say its a wash with Karma if that company gets screwed over.
