Google is finding some weird pages in it's crawl like

    blog/blog/blabla

    Basically, pages that don't exist.

How is this possible and is 301 them the best solution?

    Thanks!

Most probably Google is finding those pages either from a link to those pages, maybe some of your actual pages have links to those pages, or Google is getting them from another site, which backlinks to you with those broken links. 1st check your site pages to see if there is an internal link like that. Also check the site map, if there's any to ensure this. Yes, you can do 301, but having 404 pages does not affect your ranking usually. But it may, if there's a internal link on your site which is broken.

Definitely agree with the above. BTW, if you click on that page in the crawl errors list in Search Console it gives you an option to see where it is linked from. That should give you a clue if it is an incorrect internal link!

If your site is in WordPress, then using the WordPress exporter too, export the whole website to your desktop in an XML format. Open it, search for those URLs - and if there's any, u will find instantly!

Let me add my bit. After you've found them ( the links that don't exist) in search console, you should report to Google and ask those to be removed.
